Educational Events – Each year, the McMurtrie preserve hosts educational events for boy scouts, school programs, water monitoring volunteers, and others. The McMurtrie preserve is also available for meetings. For information about holding your meeting or event at the McMurtrie preserve, contact email@example.com.
Volunteer Activities – Activities such as brush cleanup, trail maintenance, and habitat documentation are occasionally open for public participation. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the New Richmond High School (650 Richmond Way, New Richmond, WI). Members and donors are welcome to attend.

The new pavilion at McMurtrie Preserve makes for a great gathering place to begin exploration of the Preserve. It, and the surrounding lands, are open to educational groups by permission only*. Last year’s public meeting featured guest presentations by scientists from the St. Croix Research Station on the causes of harmful algal blooms and a fascinating presentation/hike by Dr. Carrie Jennings on the glacial history of the Apple River watershed.
